I picked up my camera about 5 years ago to fill up the creative void that had been left in my life after my band (Pumpkin Jr.) broke up in Shanghai, and the creative dragons began to slowly torment me. They needed an escape!

It began with a rush for photographing landscapes and cityscapes (read buildings) and all my efforts were directed towards those during my travels around the world. Some of these are now available as Limited Edition, Signed and numbered - fine art prints.

I digress, anyway, at some point in time, a very dear friend of mine asked me to shoot some photographs and to add to the pressure, he also bought me a set of lights to do it. Then another close friend asked me to do a new profile picture for her…and that, was the beginning of a journey that after 5+ years and more than a hundred photography projects, has led to this blog.

Portrait Photography has been a fascinating journey for me as it has allowed me to meet and befriend some truly talented artists and path leading professionals, during my time in Shanghai. This website is a culmination of the innumerable collaborations and projects with artists and you, my subjects.

Every project I take up, starts with your story. I want to know about you and the purpose of the portrait session. What is it that you want the portrait to project...The concept and the creative direction is derived from that purpose.

I love what I do and believe that everyone is exquisitely unique and hence, every portrait session is different and there is no one size fits all in my way of working and hence the diversity in my work.
